Gravimetric dosing & mixing units SPECTROCOLOR G
The SPECTROCOLOR G is a synchronous gravimetric dosing station based on the loss-in-weight principle. Its excellent short and long term dosing accuracy ensures you the process reliability you need for continuous manufacturing.
Our unique gravity-mixing principle offers you a high consistency of mix for all the components before they reach the extruder. This plays a key role in guaranteeing you perfect plasticization and homogenization of the materials.
SPECTROCOLOR G doses and mixes all easy to normal flowing granular materials. Up to six dosing modules, optionally with a component for free-flowing material, support both flood-fed and starve-fed extrusion.
Our unique gravity-mixing principle provides you a high level of mixing consistency without the need to mechanically mix. This plays a key role in achieving perfect plasticization and homogenization of the materials in the extruder.
Synchronous dosing offers you excellent recipe accuracy and reproducibility, which can be followed at any time. So, for example, you can check the actual dosed throughput of any dosing module at any given time and these values can be documented by the reporting function of the GRAVInet SC control.
Extremely compact construction due to the unique design of the supply hoppers and the location of the load cells. This allows you to install the station where many other similar units would not fit.
The mechanically decoupled platform for material refilling prevents any negative impact on the weighing process during refilling.
Smart integration of material loading through the direct refilling of the weigh bin using motan's METRO G loaders with a pneumatic discharge flap. This way the loading process is integrated both mechanically and with the control system. As a result, SPECTROCOLOR G with the METRO G loaders are delivered as a fully tested system. Your benefits are process reliability, rapid assembly and commissioning, and a single-user interface via the GRAVInet SC control panel.
If refilling with METRO G loaders is not an option, then our fast refill double slide valve with up to 40 refills per hour can significantly reduce your system size and cost. Fast refill systems, in contrast to conventional systems, do not require large hoppers, thus reducing costs and installation volume. In addition, the volumetric dosing time is reduced and your recipe runs gravimetrically for longer giving you greater accuracy.
The dosing motors are swivel mounted and can be removed without tools. The motors are brushless and have integrated motor management which makes them maintenance free.
There are six different sizes of wear-resistant dosing screws available and they can be removed without the use of tools. The screws are inclined at an angle for a constant dosing flow insensitive to vibration. This gives you greater accuracy because machine movements have no effect on the dosing process and material slip on the screw is eliminated.
Cleaning and material changeovers are fast and require no tools. The quick-change system, compromised of a discharge slide gate for emptying materials, a removable supply hopper, a swivel mounted motor, and a dosing screw with a quick release connection, makes the unit easy to operate and saves you valuable time.
The GRAVInet SC control system boasts innovative, Ethernet-based open network architecture. In addition, it offers you excellent control characteristics when handling set point jumps and ramp mode thanks to its optimized control settings and filter functions. The high-tech touch-screen color display with LCD-TFT resolution enables simple, intuitive, fast, and reliable operation. It has comprehensive features for process and recipe management, offering you reporting functionality for quality assurance and it delivers advanced service functions and graphical display of process data.
In combination with the gravimetric collecting bin the SPECTROCOLOR G can be configured for flood-fed operation (single and counter-rotating twin screw extruders). This configuration is ideal for fibre and textile applications because the material level above the extruder must be as low as possible to avoid material separation in the collecting bin.
