CONTROLnet is an integrated system of controls. Designed to operate, manage, and supervise every stage of the raw materials handling process. It offers you a completely new level of management capability, helping to meet the ever greater demands for product quality and cost efficiency.

You need customised controls. This is made possible by modern inter-process communication, enhanced data management, and intuitive, simple operation with efficient monitoring capability.

LUXORnet, VOLUnet, GRAVInet, and METROnet controls for drying, dosing & mixing, conveying, and storage can be used as standalone controls or combined to form an integrated network. All controls can be operated through motan's WEBpanel - a full colour easy to use graphic touch screen. If required they can be integrated in to motan's LINKnet 3.0 host processing system.

LUXORnet For all LUXOR A dryers.

LUXORnet can control up to 16 drying bins and incorporates a wide choice of modular conveying control packages. The integrated convey control includes all hopper loaders on the bins plus up to 24 material loaders on the machines and two blower stations plus one standby station. Other standard features include: line purging with material preselection, dry air conveying, and emergency coupling between two conveying lines.
Ease and efficiency of operation is combined with highly economical plant utilisation.

METROnet A and METROnet S are totally integrated in the CONTROLnet platform and can be linked to other controls via Ethernet connection.

METROnet A features:

The VOLUnet MC control system boasts innovative, Ethernet-based open network architecture. The full colour touch screen gives you simple, intuitive, fast, and reliable operation. It has comprehensive features for process and recipe management, offering you reporting functionality for quality assurance and it delivers advanced service functions and graphical display of process data.

VOLUnet SC For SPECTROCOLOR V.

VOLUnet SC can control, manage, and monitor a SPECTROCOLOR V unit with up to six material components. The optional integrated convey control in VOLUnet SC manages up to seven material loaders and one blower with filter for the conveying system. It can be used to feed your processing machine and other equipment as well as the SPECTROCOLOR V.

  • Easy to understand instructions on the full colour touch screen
  • Ethernet compatible, therefore easy to integrate into motan’s CONTROLnet

It has comprehensive features for process and recipe management, offering you reporting functionality for quality assurance and it delivers advanced service functions and graphical display of process data.

GRAVInet GC For GRAVICOLOR.

GRAVInet GC can control, manage, and monitor a GRAVICOLOR unit with up to six material components. The optional integrated convey control in GRAVInet manages up to seven material loaders and one blower with filter for the conveying system. It can be used to feed the processing machine and other equipment as well as the GRAVICOLOR.

So, for smaller applications, GRAVInet GC eliminates the need for a separate conveying control. By linking up various GRAVInet controls via Ethernet, complex system equipment can be monitored and controlled. For example, blower stations can be used simultaneously when conveying.

The GRAVInet SC control system boasts innovative, Ethernet-based open network architecture. In addition, it offers excellent control characteristics when handling set point jumps and ramp mode thanks to optimised control settings and filter functions. The high-tech touch screen colour display with LCD-TFT resolution enables simple, intuitive, fast and reliable operation.

SPECTROCOLOR G can be deployed as a stand-alone station for a mono extrusion system or as part of a co-extrusion system with integration via the Ethernet based CONTROLnet. And of course, the unit meshes perfectly with our other materials management components all of which can be displayed and operated via a single interface.

GRAVInet SC has comprehensive features for process and recipe management, offers reporting functionality for quality assurance and delivers advanced service functions and graphical display of process data.

Features:

  • Connection of an extruder/throughput control in slave mode, using an analogue set point signal with an optional digital enable function
  • Connection to a higher (SCADA-based) automation platform (Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition) via Ethernet or an OPC server
  • A process-data diagram (set/actual throughput, position command of the dosing motor maximum, dosing rate and actual hopper weight) for each dosing module and for the entire dosing station enables process monitoring (stability checks, early warning diagnostics for process interruptions, improved process reliability) at configurable time intervals ranging from five minutes to eight hours.

GRAVInet GP For GRAVIPLUS and C-FLEX controlling up to 8 dosing modules.

The GRAVInet GP control is able to control up to 8 dosing modules with every GRAVIPLUS synchronous dosing and mixing station and the appropriate refilling slides/butterfly valves or material loaders. The control offers user-friendly operation via a 12" colour graphic display with TFT touch screen.

The GRAVInet GP incorporates comprehensive functions for operation and process control, recipe management, reporting for quality assurance as well as enhanced service functions and trend charts. The dosing and mixing stations being controlled can operate either independently or in tandem on a line. A control system to serve multiple lines is available.

The menu-driven control is designed for easy operation. Messages and alarms are displayed in plain text and multiple language options are available. Through the dynamic graphic process visualisation, the most crucial process data can be monitored and changed.

GRAVInet GP technology stands out due to its modern, Ethernet-based open network architecture enabling standard networking with all other motan CONTROLnet controls.

The GRAVInet GP light has the same display and functionality of the GRAVInet GP but can only control up to a maximum of two dosing modules. It offers all the benefits of its big brother but at a lower price.
