For moderate distance conveying applications, nothing beats the simplicity of a side-channel vacuum blower. motan blowers utilize a one-piece fan and side-channel unit to produce reliable vacuum power and can be frequency controlled. The simple, quiet compact design allows the pump to be installed in the production hall if required.
High efficiency, claw style positive displacement pumps provide the highest level of vacuum power available for conveying plastic material. The variable frequency pumps employ an advanced claw-shaped lobe design that cuts through and pressurizes air in a nearly maintenance free package. These pumps deliver stronger conveying performance at longer distances and higher elevations for challenging conveying applications.
The vacuum source is the heart of a centralised raw materials conveying system. That is why motan offers stand-by blowers or pumps. Should your blower/pump fail, then the control will automatically switchover to a stand-by, without any downtime to your production.
The METRO F30 central dust filter offers you efficient filtering for small to medium throughput conveying systems. The F30 is cleaned through implosion and allows dust filtration to take place at the floor level. An airtight dust collection bin makes the removal of fines quick and easy.
The METRO F50 central dust filter offers you more efficient filtering with high throughput conveying systems. The benefits to you are:

A material discharge valve fitted below the dust collection filter allows the dust collection container to be emptied even during material conveying. A limit switch prevents the valve from opening during cleaning. The transparent dust collection bin allows you to check the dust level in the bin at any time. An additional benefit is that you can make a simple quality control check of raw material batches (dust content, angel hair, etc.)
With the patent pending SilentLine double walled material feedlines, motan offers three benefits to pneumatic conveying in one product:
- A dramatic reduction in noise while conveying raw material.
SilentLine is a double-walled construction of two material lines. The inner pipe is used for conveying your materials. The air-filled space between the inner and outer pipes acts as insulation. This deadens the sound and protects your employees in the process. SilentLine reduces noise levels by a minimum of 12 dB. This is a decrease of more than 50%!
- An automatic detection of vacuum loss in the conveying system.
SilentLine is the only product of its kind on the market which offers vacuum loss detection within the material lines. Using an external flow meter, you can detect any leaks immediately and that particular pipe can be exchanged without problem.
- Prevention of heat loss when conveying dried materials with hot dry air. SilentLine works like a layer of insulation. The air-filled space in the double-walled pipe lines decreases the amount of heat lost to the ambient atmosphere and your dried material cools less quickly during conveying.
When conveying very abrasive materials, for example glass-reinforced polyamides, it is important that the conveying system is designed to with stand wear. One solution is to use glass material feed lines and bends. motan glass bends are PU coated and earthed –making them shatter proof and eliminating the danger of static.
