METRO SM metal separators
With growing processing of recycled and regrind materials, the amount of metal impurities increases as well. Blocked nozzles, filters and hot runner systems lead to production interruptions, downtimes and delayed deliveries. Very often tiny metal particles in the melt cause costly breakdowns during injection/blow moulding and extrusion. It is not unusual that a single metal particle causes damage to the plasticising screw or cylinder.
Metal separators METRO SM protect your machines. Mounted directly on the material inlet of the extruder and injection/blow moulding machine, the metal separators are used to remove micro metal particles from regrind, recycled and virgin material.
