motan-colortronic do Brasil now open – and showing commitment in South America

Konstanz, Germany/Piracicaba, Brazil (February 2015) – The opening ceremony of motan-colortronic do Brasil Ltda already took place on November 27, 2014 in Piracicaba in the state of São Paolo. It was attended by a large number of representatives of customers and associations and high-ranking people from politics and administration. The new sales subsidiary of motan-colortronic marks another step of the company towards becoming firmly established in the South American market.

Grand opening with many guests
They were all there: Antonio Dottori of the Brazilian Machines and Equipment Industry Association (Associação Brasileira de Máquinas e Equipamentos - Abimaq), Thomas Ulbrich of VDMA Brazil as well as representatives of the Schaeffler Group, Toyota, TE Connectivity, Krauss Maffei, Engel, Pallmann and many other customers. The welcome speech was delivered by Pedro Kawai, a member of the Piracicaba city council. Tomás Martins, managing director of Gerresheimer Brazil, emphasised the reliability and recipe constancy of the motan-colortronic products in medical technology, and how important it was to now have this support and service right on the doorstep. The managing directors of motan holding Germany, Sandra Füllsack and Ulrich Eberhardt, fully agreed.

Decentralised organisation, customer orientation
Sandra Füllsack explained the decentralised approach of the company like this: “Our customers can rely on the ‘quality made by motan’ wherever they are. With motan-colortronic do Brasil we have laid the foundation for further growth and sustainable development in the South American market.” Ulrich Eberhardt added that “our local presence will help us serve our customers even better”. And this is exactly where the team of Frank Medgysey, head of Sales Region South, and the two managing directors of the new sales office, Jefferson Macedo and Beat Amrein, want to be: close to the customer.

Social responsibility
Local presence also means being responsible and this was impressively demonstrated by Sandra Füllsack during the celebration when she handed over a cheque for 5,000 Euros to Nidia Salvaia, the representative of the Casa do Bom Menino orphanage where 106 children and young people have found a new home. Nidia Salvaia thanked Sandra by saying: “Life is full of challenges and obstacles we have to overcome. To do that we need partners who are socially responsible and want to help. The support of motan-colortronic brings hope and a better future for our children.”
After the official part of the event, all guests, employees and their families celebrated the Brazilian way - with live music and local cuisine.
